Creating a Bespoke Design - Adapting a
Standard Model
All
Lean-To/Home-extender designs can be adapted for use on
bungalows or other low eaves positions at no extra charge
by means of Fascia Fixing. Note however the roof will not
come completely fabricated. All components will be
supplied but you will cut everything to size on
site. This obviously does entail additional work
for yourself. However, this is the most successful
method we have found for adapting standard models to
fit. In this instance, we will need to know height
from Damp Proof Course (D.P.C) to underside of soffit and
also maximum ridge (roof) height available. You may
find it convenient to call one of our conservatory
designers on 01903 850093 or contact us by clicking
here.
It is also possible to "bespoke" any of our
standard model Victorian or Edwardian designs for an
additional cost of £750 per model by means of fixing a
box gutter. This changes the design to a
"double hipped" design and because of the box
gutter, it is possible to fit the conservatory roof onto
a bungalow fascia or house wall. Some clients do
prefer to change the width and depth of the conservatory
around, i.e. make the width the depth and the depth the
width so as to join the conservatory to your property
along its longest "length". There is no
extra charge for this.
Please note that with any design which joins onto a
fascia (i.e. bungalow) we also recommend that you take
extra care with sealing the roof connection. In
particular, ensure that any felt etc. under roof tiles is
"sound" and replaced if necessary.
Note: Standard models assume eaves height of 2100mm
(taken from D.P.C. level).
