| How do
I place an order? |
| |
Go
to our ordering page. Ordering a standard model is
simplicity itself. Fill in the information
requested and your conservatory will soon be on its
way. For bespoke models, the process is slightly
different. In this instance, we will E-mail or fax
you a proposed design including a drawing
reference. You then fill in the bespoke order
section of our on-line order form and the order will be
processed as per the standard models. If you have
any particular queries about your potential order and are
unsure about anything, just contact admin@conservatoriestoday.co.uk.
Be sure to fill in the "adapting a standard
model" section if you wish to "bespoke" a
standard model. You can, if you prefer, still use
fax or snail mail to place an order. |

| |
| Is
there a delivery charge for my conservatory? |
| |
| There is no
delivery charge for mainland U.K. For an
international delivery charge, please e-mail us.
Most international clients take delivery in the U.K. and
organise their own transport arrangements. |
| |

| |
| What is
your guarantee/warranty? |
| |
| All U.K. delivered products (whether PVCu, Hardwood or Aluminium) have a ten year guarantee on the frames, a five year guarantee on the double-glazed sealed units and a one year warranty on all hardware fitted. This guarantee can also be insurance backed for a small additional cost. |

| What if
something is missing from my order? |
| |
| Dial a
Conservatory quality control ensures that this is
extremely unlikely. However, in the unlikely event
something is missing, please contact support@conservatoriestoday.co.uk detailing the missing item.
We endeavour to dispatch any shortages the same day
(subject to availability). |

| |
| How
long does it take to erect a conservatory? |
| |
| We hate to
say "how long is a piece of string" but we just
have! If there is such a thing as an average
conservatory, then the answer is probably 3-4 days for an
experienced fitting crew or 2-3 weekends for a DIY
enthusiast. |

| |
| What if
my conservatory is damaged or glass is broken during
delivery? |
| |
| We insure all
products up to the end of delivery ourselves. We
will replace and/or repair any damages at our
expense. Please ensure you check your conservatory
carefully upon delivery, as no claim will be accepted
unless carefully noted on delivery. |

| |
| If I
construct my own conservatory base, will you supply a
base plan and specification? |
| |
| Yes.
The base plan also includes a typical specification for
the base, depending on whether you are having a dwarf
wall version or not. Please note this will be a
typical specification - as with all building works, a lot
depends upon the site condition and you should take
appropriate advice if you have any doubts. |

| |
| Do you
use safety glass? |
| |
| All glazing
conforms to BS6202. Most glazing is either 4mm or
6mm toughened safety glass although occasionally we do
use laminated safety glass (usually in commercial
applications). |

| |
| Do I
need planning permission? |
| |
| In England and Wales you will not usually require planning permission, provided you do not exceed the permitted development limit for your property (which is 50-70 cubic metres, depending on where you live). Notable exceptions to the above are listed buildings and conservation areas. |
| |
| |
| Do I
need Building Regulation approval? |
| |
| Not
usually. Two exceptions, however, would be if your
conservatory exceeds 30m square floor area or there are
no connecting doors to the rest of the property. If
in doubt, contact your local Building Control Dept. |

| |
| What
are your terms of payment? |
| |

for the balance on order acknowledgement/final survey. |

| |
| Do you
do supply only? |
| |
| YES WE DO -
indeed that is all of Dial A Conservatory's
business. If, however, you require a builder or an
installer to help, we can usually recommend a suitable
contractor. |

| |
| Will
you do a final survey/measure up for my conservatory
prior to manufacture? |
| |
| We survey all
bespoke/made-to-measure conservatories as a matter of
course (mainland U.K. only). We do not find it
necessary as a general rule to survey for any of the
standard models. If clients would prefer a site
survey by ourselves, there is a charge of £50 - £150
plus travel expenses depending upon location.
International orders can also be surveyed by
ourselves. The cost for this is subject to
quotation. |

| |
| In your
standard model price list for PVCu conservatories, you
mention a surcharge for REHAU PAS011 - what is this? |
| |
| Our PVCu
conservatories are manufactured using two PVCu
systems. Our standard system is the well known and
highly respected SYNSEAL SYSTEM. We find this
system a highly practical and extremely reliable product
for the manufacture of conservatories. It is,
however, externally beaded which is perceived by some as
being less secure. For this reason we also offer
Europe's leading PVCu system from REHAU. This
system is internally beaded. We are also able to
fit higher standard locking to the REHAU SYSTEM.

| |
| Can you
fit Pilkington "K" high insulating glass to
your conservatories? |
| |
| YES - again
please visit our Extras/Upgrades page on the creating a bespoke
design. |

| |
| You
only do supply only. Can you assist me with finding
a builder or installer? |
| |
| YES.
Over many years, the Best Building Group, Dial A
Conservatory's parent company, has built up relationships
with some of the most professional and reliable
builders/installers in the conservatory business.
We can usually recommend two or three
companies/individuals to price this part of your
work. Indeed with all of our standard models, we
can quote you prices for the above work subject to
survey. Also on the bespoke models, our designers
can give you a fairly accurate guide price over the
telephone or by e-mail. They or the
builders/installers will be able to confirm an exact cost
following a site survey. |
